The IEEE EMBS Student Branch Chapter of the University of Moratuwa, together with MFSTC, successfully hosted Machines of Vision: From Functionality to AI Diagnostics on 14th August 2024 at the UCFM Tower. The session, conducted by Ravindu Pushpakumara, Senul Samarasekara, and Hansa Marasinghe, biomedical engineering graduates from UoM, explored the evolution of medical imaging technologies, from X-rays to MRI, and the transformative role of AI in diagnostics. Participants also engaged in a hands-on session, applying AI tools to medical imaging, making the event both educational and interactive. The program drew an enthusiastic audience, sparking insightful discussions on the future of AI-powered healthcare.
