EMINENCE 5.0 💜 Eminence 5.0 is a flagship competition organized by the Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group of the IEEE Student Branch, University of Ruhuna. The event focuses on empowering undergraduates through challenges and learning opportunities in the fields of software, electronics, telecommunications, and electrical engineering. This year, Eminence 5.0 is conducted as an inter-university competition, providing a platform for students from various universities to showcase their technical skills and innovative thinking. In preparation for the competition, an awareness session was held, followed by a pre-webinar series and a main webinar series designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and insights to excel in the competition. Awareness Session The awareness session for Eminence 5.0 was successfully conducted on August 9th via Zoom, marking the official commencement of the competition series. The session was graced by Ms. Navodya Rasangi, the former Chair of the WIE Affinity Group, University of Ruhuna, who shared her valuable experiences and insights about the journey of Eminence and the impact it has created over the years. The session aimed to introduce participants to the objectives, structure, and opportunities of the competition while inspiring them to engage and make the most of the upcoming sessions actively.
