EMINENCE 5.0 💜 Eminence 5.0 is a flagship competition organized by the Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group of the IEEE Student Branch, University of Ruhuna. The event focuses on empowering undergraduates through challenges and learning opportunities in the fields of software, electronics, telecommunications, and electrical engineering. This year, Eminence 5.0 is conducted as an inter-university competition, providing a platform for students from various universities to showcase their technical skills and innovative thinking. In preparation for the competition, an awareness session was held, followed by a pre-webinar series and a main webinar series designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and insights to excel in the competition. Team leader must be female . Teams must have at least 50% female participants . All members must be from the same university . Task 1 – MATLAB Task Design the given power system simulation Software: MATLAB R2016 or later Task 2 – AI Task Train and evaluate a small machine learning model using a provided dataset Platform: Kaggle, Google Colab, or local environments (VS Code/Anaconda) Task 3 – Network Simulation Task Configure the network according to provided specifications Software: Cisco Packet Tracer (latest version) Task 4 – Innovation Task Present an electronic design, prototype, or simulation Requirements: Functional prototype or comprehensive simulation Maximum 5 slides, one female participant must present
