On October 4th, 2025, the IEEE Student Branch of IIT celebrated the 16th edition of IEEE Day under the global theme "Innovating for a Sustainable Future." The event brought together students, professionals, and IEEE members for a day of learning, connection, and inspiration centered around the role of technology in building a better tomorrow. The day began at 8:30 AM with registration and team allocation, where participants were warmly welcomed and grouped for the interactive sessions ahead. The event officially commenced with a welcome speech, followed by an introduction to the IEEE Student Branch and its activities. A keynote speech featured Mr. Sanuda Kannangara, IEEE SB Chairperson Term 23/24, who shared insights on innovation, leadership and the impact of IEEE in professional life. An engaging Q&A session allowed attendees to dive deeper into the discussion. The first of three ice-breaker sessions started with a high-energy Kahoot quiz hosted by the Student Branch, encouraging friendly competition and team spirit. This was followed by a series of brief but informative introductions to IEEE societies, including IEEE Computer Society (CS), Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), Women in Engineering (WIE), Computational Intelligence Society (CIS), and Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS). The event wrapped up with the IEEEXtreme Teaser, a sneak peek into upcoming IEEEXtreme programming challenges. The day concluded with a group photo, capturing the energy and collaborative spirit of IEEE Day 2025. From inspiring talks to interactive games, the event proved to be an unforgettable celebration of innovation, teamwork, and the global IEEE community.
