Cotton Candy Stall – Fundraising for Artemia 1.0 Date: 30th October 2025 Time: From 12:00 p.m. onwards Venue: Near the Staff Canteen, Faculty of Technology Organized by: IEEE WIE Affinity Group – University of Sri Jayewardenepura Purpose: To collect funds to support the Artemia 1.0 competition. Participant Count: Around 10 organizing members Event Overview: The IEEE WIE Affinity Group organized a Cotton Candy Stall as a fundraising initiative to support Artemia 1.0, the ongoing technology innovation competition focused on women’s safety and empowerment. The stall operated near the Faculty of Technology canteen, drawing active participation from students and staff. Financial Summary: Total Income: LKR 10,180.00 Total Expenses: LKR 2,200.00 Net Balance: LKR 7,980.00 Outcome: The fundraiser was successfully completed and achieved its intended goal of contributing to the event budget for Artemia 1.0 . The positive response from students also boosted awareness about the competition and strengthened the spirit of teamwork within the organizing committee.
