This awareness session provides participants with essential insights, guidance, and preparation strategies for the upcoming Robotics Challenge. The session focuses on introducing the competition structure, learning pathways, and skill development required to build and compete with confidence. Key areas covered include mechanical design, mechatronics fundamentals, team workflows, and effective approaches to problem-solving in robotics innovation. The session is conducted by Mr. Bhanuka Dayawansa, Team Lead for the Robotics Challenge and Lecturer in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at Curtin Colombo. His expertise in robotics and engineering education offers participants valuable perspectives on learning, building, and competing successfully in the challenge.
