🏫 Winning Hearts 1.0 – Donation Event The IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group of the University of Ruhuna successfully organized “Winning Hearts 1.0” , a donation event held on 8th November 2025 at Panagamuwa Amarasinghe College, Walahanduwa, Galle. The initiative aimed to support 22 primary students from Grades 2 to 5 by providing essential school supplies, school bags, and lunch for the children. Activities and Engagements: The event was designed to be both meaningful and engaging. Along with distributing donations, the team conducted interactive sessions highlighting the importance of education , motivating students to value learning and dream big. Fun activities and games were organized to make the experience enjoyable and memorable. An art competition encouraged creativity and self-expression among the students, while additional school activity materials were donated to support future educational development at the school. Impact and Significance: Winning Hearts 1.0 was a heartwarming and impactful experience for both the students and the volunteers. It brought joy to the young learners and reinforced the WIE Ruhuna mission of empowering communities through education, compassion, and social responsibility.
