Workshop 01 of CodeRally 6.0, titled “ Understanding Competitive Programming”, offered a foundational and engaging introduction for beginners stepping into the world of problem-solving and algorithmic thinking. The session guided participants through the essential concepts of competitive programming, emphasising how structured thinking, clarity in understanding problems, and choosing the right tools can dramatically improve performance. The workshop unpacked the core building blocks of data structures and algorithms, explaining arrays, stacks, trees, and key algorithmic patterns, while highlighting why mastering these fundamentals leads to faster, more efficient, and accurate solutions. Participants also explored how to approach problems logically, avoid common mistakes, and build solutions by understanding concepts rather than memorising code. This practical and interactive session equipped students with the confidence, knowledge, and mindset necessary to navigate the upcoming challenges of CodeRally 6.0.
