Version 3 of the commit.dev, titled “GitOps & Continuous Delivery with Cloud Native Sri Lanka,” delivered a practical and forward-thinking learning experience for students and early developers eager to understand modern DevOps workflows. Through an engaging partnership with Cloud Native Sri Lanka, the session explored how GitOps is transforming software delivery by making Git the single source of truth for deployments. Participants explored the limitations of traditional push-based pipelines, learnt why Git-driven automation offers greater reliability and consistency, and discovered how tools like Argo CD, Flux, and GitHub Actions streamline real-world cloud-native operations. With hands-on insights into starting and scaling GitOps, avoiding common pitfalls, and navigating production-ready deployment models, the workshop empowered attendees with industry-relevant knowledge essential for careers in DevOps, SRE, and cloud engineering. Version 3 left participants with a clear understanding of how today’s top tech teams build, ship, and manage applications with confidence and automation.
