Japura Xtreme 2.0, the inter-university programming competition organized by the IEEE Computer Society Student Chapter of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, was successfully held from 8.00 p.m. on the 5th of October to 8.00 p.m. on the 6th of October 2025 . This 24-hour coding marathon brought together some of the brightest problem solvers from universities across the country. The competition was hosted on the HackerRank platform, providing a fair, reliable, and industry-standard environment for participants to tackle a series of algorithmic and computational challenges. This year's edition recorded an exceptional level of engagement, with 482 participants competing across 142 teams , reflecting the growing enthusiasm and talent within the Sri Lankan competitive programming community. After a rigorous evaluation process, three outstanding teams rose to the top: Champion – Team_Glory (SLIIT) 1st Runners-up – Team Velosphere (University of Moratuwa) 2nd Runners-up – Team HeXaBrAiNs (University of Sri Jayewardenepura) Japura Xtreme 2.0 continues to serve as a platform that inspires students to enhance their algorithmic thinking, sharpen problem-solving skills, and thrive in high-pressure competition environments. The event stands as a testament to the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and excellence fostered within the IEEE student community.
