The IEEE Xtreme 19.0: USJ Awareness Session was conducted on 12th October 2025 at 7:00 p.m. , aimed at preparing and informing students about the upcoming global programming competition. The session was delivered by Mr. Kavindu Ranasinghe and Ms. Ashwinie Jayamanna , Section Co-Leads for IEEE Xtreme 19.0, IEEE Sri Lanka Section. During the session, the speakers provided a comprehensive overview of IEEE Xtreme 19.0, including its objectives, rules, competition structure, and the global context in which the event is conducted. They also highlighted strategies for effective team participation, problem-solving techniques, and preparation resources to enhance student readiness. The session served as an informative platform for students to understand the competition workflow, clarify queries regarding participation, and gain insights into the skills and mindset required to excel in this 24-hour global coding challenge. It successfully motivated and equipped the University of Sri Jayewardenepura participants to engage confidently in IEEE Xtreme 19.0.
