The third workshop of the AlgoArena: Mobile App Development Competition , organized by the Leo Club of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in partnership with the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, was held on 8th November 2025 at 8:00 p.m. The session was conducted by Mr. Sabilashan Ganeshan , VIP Partner at Perplexity, former Country Lead at Perplexity, former Researcher at YRC, BASIS AI Fellow, and AI Automations Educator. This workshop focused on prompt engineering techniques for mobile app development and machine learning applications. Mr. Ganeshan provided participants with practical strategies for leveraging AI tools effectively—from generating structured outputs to enhancing model-driven workflows within mobile applications. Participants gained hands-on insights into integrating AI-assisted development processes, optimizing ML-driven features, and applying advanced prompting methods to support coding, data processing, and UI/UX enhancements in their projects. As the third session in the workshop series, this event strengthened participants’ capability to incorporate AI and ML elements into their mobile app solutions, contributing significantly to their overall preparedness for the AlgoArena competition.
