The fourth workshop of the AlgoArena: Mobile App Development Competition , organized by the Leo Club of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in collaboration with the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, was held on 15th November 2025 at 8:00 p.m. The session was conducted by Mr. Kavimal Wijewardhana , Associate Architect at Virtusa Corporation, who delivered an in-depth workshop on performance, security, and scalability in mobile application development. During the session, Mr. Wijewardhana covered essential architectural considerations, secure coding practices, real-world performance optimization strategies, and methods to design scalable mobile systems capable of handling production-level load. Participants were guided through common pitfalls, industry standards, and best practices used in enterprise-grade mobile development. As the fourth workshop in the series, this session significantly strengthened participants’ understanding of building secure, high-performing, and scalable mobile applications—key competencies required for success in the ongoing AlgoArena competition.
