The Transforming Teaching Practices with Innovative Teaching Methodologies workshop was held on 31st October 2025 at WP/KL/Nagoda Maha Vidyalaya, Katukurunda, Kalutara, with the active participation of more than 20 teachers from the school. The event was organized by Dr. Suresha Nilmini Perera on behalf of the IEEE Computer Society Sri Lanka Chapter. The workshop focused on introducing AI tools for teachers, modern technology-enhanced teaching practices, interactive learning approaches, and smart digital tools to support lesson planning and student engagement. Resource persons from The Open University of Sri Lanka included: Dr. Nayanee Rathnayaka Dr. Suresha Nilmini Perera Ms. Shalini Rajasingham They conducted interactive discussions, live demonstrations, and hands-on activities to help teachers practically integrate AI and innovative methodologies into their classroom practices. The session successfully empowered teachers to adopt student-centered, technology-driven teaching strategies and concluded with an engaging Q&A and reflective sharing by the participants.
