Description
The IEEE Innovation Nation Sri Lanka Provincial Competition 2025, organized by the IEEE Student Branch of SLTC, was held with the objective of selecting the top three pitch decks that would progress to the national-level INSL competition. The event began with the moderator extending a warm welcome to the judges and participants, setting a positive tone for the evening. The judging panel consisted of two esteemed academics from the Sri Lanka Technological Campus: Dr. Lakshitha Pahalagedara, Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies & Research and Head of International Affairs and Grants, and Dr. Chamith Chandrarathna, Acting Department Head of Applied Electronics. One of the INSL Ambassadors representing SLTC delivered the opening address, introducing the purpose, vision, and significance of the Innovation Nation Sri Lanka program. This was followed by the pitching session, where each participant was given seven minutes to present their idea, with an additional eight minutes allocated for questions and evaluation by the judges. At the end of all presentations, the judges requested a one-day period to finalize the results, ensuring that the winners would be selected accurately through the established marking criteria and evaluation rubrics. The event concluded with a heartfelt thank-you speech delivered by the SLTC INSL Ambassador, expressing gratitude to the judges, participants, and the organizing committee for their contribution to the successful execution of the competition.
