Introduction The first session of the STEMinist Entrepreneur initiative was successfully conducted on 5th March 2025 at SLIIT Kandy Uni. The program was organized by the IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group of Sri Lanka, and was specially designed for the talented prefects of Pushpadana Girls’ School, Kandy, with the aim of inspiring leadership and entrepreneurial thinking among young women. Objectives The key objectives of the session were to: Introduce students to the concepts of entrepreneurship and innovation Build confidence to pursue STEM-related careers Share real-life experiences and success stories Motivate students to overcome challenges in traditionally male-dominated fields Event Overview The session brought together an enthusiastic group of prefects from Pushpadana Girls’ School for an engaging and interactive learning experience. Various discussions and presentations were conducted focusing on the role of women in engineering, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Outcomes The session successfully: Inspired students to think beyond conventional career paths Strengthened awareness about entrepreneurship and innovation Encouraged leadership and self-confidence among participants Motivated young women to actively pursue opportunities in STEM Created a positive and empowering learning environment
