MicroMaze 2.0 Workshop 2
August 2, 2025 · 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM @ Colombo 6, 524
Description
The workshop conducted by Mr. Sadaruwan Madhushanka on Fundamentals of Maze-Solving Robots was a highly practical and hands-on learning experience designed to prepare students for the upcoming MicroMaze 2.0 competition. Throughout the session, students were introduced to the core principles behind maze-solving algorithms, sensor integration, motor control, and decision-making systems used in autonomous robots. Mr. Sadaruwan demonstrated real applications, breaking down each component and guiding participants through the logic required to build their own robots from scratch. What made the workshop truly impactful was the balance between theory and experimentation. Students were able to visualize how the concepts they learned can be converted into working models, giving them the confidence to apply these techniques to their own designs. The session sparked curiosity, teamwork, and creative problem-solving, motivating participants to innovate and refine their approach ahead of the competition. By the end of the workshop, students were not only equipped with essential technical knowledge, but also inspired to compete with enthusiasm, collaboration, and engineering mindset as they get ready to take on MicroMaze 2.0.
