The Industry Connect Session with MAS Holdings was organized under IEEE StudPro 8.0 to provide undergraduates with real-world exposure to Sri Lanka’s apparel and manufacturing industry. Hosted at MAS Unichela, Panadura, the visit allowed participants to explore how engineering, automation, product development, and business operations intersect within one of the country’s leading apparel innovation hubs. The event offered a hands-on understanding of industrial systems, sustainable manufacturing, and workplace operations. With limited participation (30 students – 15 per day), the session encouraged active learning and professional networking. Participants observed cutting-edge automation practices and gained insights into career pathways in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Industrial, and Business Analysis domains. Organized by StudPro 8.0 under IEEE Young Professionals Sri Lanka, the session strengthened the bridge between academia and industry through immersive engagement.
