Description
The SyncUp Finale, held on August 8th, served as the pinnacle of the mentorship journey, bringing together more than 70 enthusiastic mentees for a day of deep guidance, reflection, and meaningful connections. The session began with a STEMLink briefing that outlined the mentorship framework and helped mentees understand how to navigate their conversations effectively. Using an LLM-based matching system, each mentee was paired with a senior mentor whose experience aligned with their interests and career aspirations, ensuring highly relevant and personalized guidance. Throughout the finale, students engaged in impactful 1:1 mentorship sessions , followed by speed mentoring rounds that allowed them to interact with multiple mentors and gain diverse perspectives within a short time. A reflection-sharing segment encouraged participants to express their learnings, challenges, and breakthroughs from the program, strengthening the sense of community. The day concluded with lively mentor-mentee challenges , designed to spark creativity, teamwork, and fun, with winners receiving exciting prizes from Serendib, Laser Tag, Fun Factory, and Pearl Bay. The Finale successfully wrapped up SyncUp with inspiration, clarity, and renewed motivation for every participant.
