Workshop 3 of Micromaze 2.0 focused on the theme “Robotics: The Technology Powering the Future” and was led by Dr. Tharindu Weerakoon. The session provided participants with a strong conceptual and practical understanding of how robotics is shaping modern industries and future innovations. Dr. Weerakoon walked the students through the core principles of robotics, highlighting real-world applications, emerging trends, and the role of intelligent systems in problem-solving. Special emphasis was placed on how these technologies directly relate to maze-solving robots, helping participants connect theoretical knowledge with hands-on implementation. The workshop was highly engaging, equipping students with valuable insights to enhance their designs, optimize algorithms, and think critically about automation and autonomy. By the end of the session, participants gained clarity, inspiration, and technical confidence—preparing them effectively for the Micromaze 2.0 competition and future challenges in the field of robotics.
