The EngEx 2025 Exhibition, held from 23rd to 27th September, marked a vibrant celebration of innovation, heritage and engineering excellence as the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, commemorated its 75th Diamond Jubilee Anniversary. Transforming the faculty premises into a hub of ideas and inspiration, EngEx brought together students, academics, industry experts and the general public to reflect on the faculty’s remarkable journey while showcasing the impact of engineering on society. The exhibition stood as a testament to 75 years of shaping minds, advancing technology and contributing to national development. The IEEE Student Branch of the University of Peradeniya actively participated in this landmark event by hosting an interactive stall designed to blend learning with entertainment. Our stall featured engaging activities and games centered around electronics and basic circuit concepts, allowing participants to test their knowledge while gaining new insights in a fun and approachable manner. These hands-on activities attracted a diverse audience and helped simplify complex engineering concepts for the general public. To further enhance participation and excitement, the IEEE Student Branch organized gifts and rewards for winners of the games conducted at the stall. This initiative not only encouraged active involvement but also left participants with a memorable experience of IEEE’s commitment to knowledge sharing and community engagement. Through our participation at EngEx, the IEEE Student Branch proudly contributed to the success of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations while promoting engineering awareness in an interactive and enjoyable way.
