On the morning of November 14th, 2025, 13 undergraduates attended Techtrek II Workshop 11 at the V S Information Systems (VSIS) headquarters in Colombo 05. The session, titled "Your Brand, Your Future," provided a comprehensive look at the operations of a leading systems integrator while helping students understand how to build a strong professional identity in the ICT sector. The workshop was led by a panel of industry experts, including Eng. Kaushala Lankadhikara, Nadeesha Wickramasinghe, Dilini De Silva, and Avarjana Udunuwarage. Together, they moved beyond technical concepts to discuss the critical importance of personal branding, professional ethics, and the strategic skills required to navigate a modern tech career. They also shared insights into how VSIS, with over 15 years of industry experience and a client base of 750+ companies, delivers large-scale IT infrastructure projects for major sectors like banking, telecom, and government. The session served as a practical career roadmap, detailing the rapidly changing landscape of ICT and VSIS's core strengths in Enterprise Systems, Cybersecurity, and Cloud transformations. By the time the workshop concluded at 1:00 PM, the students had gained a deep appreciation for the people-centric approach at VSIS and a clear understanding of how to transform their academic knowledge into a successful professional brand.
