Tutorial 3 of ICAIDS 2025 focuses on basic ontology development, covering its foundations, tools, and real-world applications in the context of AI and data-driven systems. The tutorial introduces core ontology concepts, knowledge representation principles, and widely used ontology development tools, highlighting their role in structuring and managing complex data and knowledge. Participants will gain insights into how ontologies are applied in areas such as semantic web technologies, intelligent information systems, and AI-based decision support systems. The session emphasizes practical understanding and real-world use cases relevant to modern computing and intelligent systems. The tutorial will be conducted online on 27 October 2025 at 2.30 PM (IST). Participants who attend the tutorial will receive an official certificate of participation. Organized by South Eastern University of Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science (Eastern Chapter) and sponsored by IEEE WIE SEUSL Affinity Group, IEEE SEUSL Student Branch, and the Computer Science Society.
