The Product Development Workshop , held on 8th October 2025 , marked a vibrant celebration of innovation and technical excellence as the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Peradeniya , in collaboration with the IEEE Central Region Subsection , commemorated IEEE Day 2025 . Transforming the Elementary Lab of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering into a hub of practical learning, the event brought together undergraduates and industry experts to reflect on the evolving landscape of embedded systems while showcasing the impact of industry-academia partnerships. The workshop stood as a testament to the collaborative effort in shaping minds, advancing technology, and bridging the gap between theoretical study and professional application. Zone24x7 (Pvt) Ltd actively participated in this landmark event by facilitating an interactive technical session designed to blend learning with professional insight. The sessions featured engaging activities centered around the product development life-cycle and hands-on PCB designing , allowing participants to test their knowledge while gaining new perspectives from seasoned professionals. Under the guidance of industry experts—including Senior Tech Lead Mr. Ranjan Kulathunga and his team of electronics engineers—these hands-on activities attracted a focused audience and helped simplify complex concepts regarding Embedded Systems and Altium software for the student community. To further enhance participation and excitement, the organizers provided direct mentorship opportunities during the session, fostering a meaningful dialogue between students and experts.
