The IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) 60th Anniversary Celebration in collaboration with the IEEE IAS Sri Lanka Section . was organized to commemorate six decades of excellence, innovation, and global impact in the field of industry applications of electrical and electronic engineering. The event highlighted the journey of IEEE IAS since its establishment , recognizing its significant contributions to technological advancement and industry-focused solutions . A key highlight of the event was the official launch of the IEEE IAS Magazine , marking an important milestone in strengthening technical knowledge dissemination and professional communication within the IAS community. As part of the celebration, engaging activities were conducted to encourage active participation among attendees. A giveaway was organized to recognize the most eye-catching photograph featuring the IEEE IAS SLIIT logo , promoting visibility and member engagement . In addition, an interactive quiz session was held to assess participants’ knowledge on IEEE IAS and its milestones , through which three winners were selected and recognized. Overall, the event successfully combined knowledge sharing, creativity, and engagement , while reinforcing IEEE IAS’s commitment to inspiring students and young professionals to contribute to the Society’s vision of innovation, leadership, and professional excellence .
