Description

The Awareness Session of MoraXtreme 10.0 and IEEEXtreme 19.0 was held on 22nd September 2025 from 7:00 PM onwards via Zoom , attracting over 450 participants . The session featured Dr. Uthayasanker Thayasivam , Head of the Department of CSE, University of Moratuwa, and Mr. Joel Sathiyendra , a former IEEEXtreme participant ranked 3rd in Sri Lanka (17.0 edition). The speakers provided valuable insights into the benefits of taking part in MoraXtreme 10.0 & IEEEXtreme 19.0, competitive programming, contest strategies, and effective preparation methods, successfully motivating participants for the upcoming competition phases. Following this, the floor was opened for an interactive Q&A session, where the audience was given the opportunity to clarify their doubts on MoraXtreme 10.0, IEEEXtreme 19.0, and technical questions related to the domain of competitive programming with the speakers and Event Chairs, and the University of Moratuwa Ambassador for IEEEXtreme 19.0, Mr. Hiruna Malavipathirana. The Awareness Session concluded on a high note, raising awareness among the community on the global coding challenge and the local practice ground to elevate their problem-solving skills.
