December 14, 2025 · 3:00 AM - 11:30 AM @ Old Computer Center, Galle, Faculty of Engineering,

Description

HaXtreme 4.0: Event Summary HaXtreme 4.0 was a comprehensive competitive programming initiative designed to evaluate and enhance the problem-solving, algorithmic thinking, and coding efficiency of its participants. The event was structured in two distinct phases: a foundational workshop series followed by a high-intensity final competition. Phase 1: The Preparatory Workshop Series To ensure participants were well-equipped for real-world programming challenges, a four-part structured workshop series was conducted: Workshop 01: Introduction to Competitive Programming (25/09/2025) – Focused on fundamental strategies, familiarizing students with coding platforms, and essential time management techniques. Workshop 02: C++ Programming (28/09/2025) – Aimed at strengthening the core programming foundation and improving overall coding efficiency. Workshop 03: Data Structures and Algorithms (02/10/2025) – Covered the critical logic required for efficient problem-solving, emphasizing the practical application of DSA. Workshop 04: Advanced Problem-Solving Techniques (09/10/2025) – Integrated previous learning into advanced strategies, focusing on real-time application and competition readiness. Phase 2: The Final Competition The initiative culminated in the HaXtreme 4.0 Final Competition , where teams faced a series of carefully designed algorithmic and logic-based problems. The competition served as a rigorous test of: Programming accuracy and execution speed. Teamwork and collaborative decision-making. The ability to perform under significant time pressure. By simulating real-world programming scenarios, HaXtreme 4.0 provided an engaging and competitive environment for participants to showcase their technical growth.
