Step Into Industry 4.0 is a flagship industry engagement initiative organized to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world professional practice. It was designed to further empower undergraduates with industry readiness, practical exposure, and the confidence required to transition smoothly into the professional world. The event focused on aligning academic knowledge with current industry expectations, emerging technologies, and evolving career pathways. Open to 1st to 4th year undergraduates across Sri Lanka particularly those pursuing Computing, Engineering, and Technology-related disciplines. The program was structured to deliver both insight and experience. It featured a comprehensive Main Session, a specially introduced CV Clinic & Mock Interview segment, and nine parallel technical session tracks covering a wide range of high-demand career fields. CV Clinic & Mock Interviews The CV Clinic & Mock Interview sessions, newly introduced in Step Into Industry 4.0 as an enhancement to the original initiative, were conducted to provide participants with direct exposure to real-world recruitment processes and industry expectations. During this segment, 100+ CVs were reviewed through personalized feedback sessions by industry experts, enabling students to refine their profiles and better align with employer standards. Through the mock interviews, many participants gained hands-on interview experience and constructive guidance on their performance. Notably, this initiative resulted in a significant achievement, with several students successfully securing internship opportunities, demonstrating the tangible impact of the program on undergraduate career advancement.
