● Title: International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Sri Lanka 2026 ● Category: Technical ● Start Date and Time (Online Round) - 04th January 2026 ● End Date and Time (Onsite Regional) - 25th January 2026 ● Description of the event The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Sri Lanka 2026 marks a historic milestone as Sri Lanka hosts its first-ever ICPC contest, establishing the country on the global map of competitive programming. ICPC is the world's most prestigious programming competition, recognized as the Olympics of programming - the oldest, largest, and most prestigious competitive programming contest globally. This two-stage competition featured a Preliminary Online Round on January 4th, 2026, followed by the Sri Lanka Onsite Regional for the top 30 of the Preliminary Online Round on January 25th, 2026, at the University of Peradeniya. Teams of three students from the same university competed to solve 08 algorithmic challenges within a 5-hour duration in an offline format that tested pure skill without internet access. The champion team received direct qualification to the ICPC Global, while five runner-up teams also advanced to the Asia West Regional contest.
