The IEEE Student Branch of the Open University of Sri Lanka collaborated with the Sri Lanka Association for Artificial Intelligence to successfully conduct a half-day workshop on “Operationalizing Generative AI at Scale” on 19th November 2025 at the Computer Science Laboratory, Department of Computer Science, The Open University of Sri Lanka. The workshop was conducted by Ashan Priyadarshana, Technical Lead at Sysco LABS. The session provided participants with practical insights into deploying and managing Generative AI solutions at scale, focusing on real-world implementation strategies, challenges, and industry best practices. The program was designed as a hands-on and interactive learning experience, enabling participants to understand the operational, architectural, and ethical considerations involved in scaling generative AI technologies. Attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with the resource person, clarify technical concepts, and explore emerging trends in artificial intelligence. With limited seats to ensure quality engagement, the workshop attracted enthusiastic participation from students and technology enthusiasts interested in AI innovation. The session significantly enhanced participants’ understanding of enterprise-level AI deployment and reinforced IEEE’s commitment to promoting advanced technological knowledge among its members. This initiative further strengthened collaboration between IEEE and national professional bodies, fostering research, innovation, and professional development within the AI domain.
