The IEEE Student Branch of the Open University of Sri Lanka successfully conducted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026 on 20th January 2026 via Zoom. Originally planned as a physical gathering, the event was rescheduled and transitioned to an online format due to adverse weather conditions, ensuring the safety and convenience of all members. The virtual platform enabled broader participation and maintained the continuity of IEEE Student Branch operations. The AGM served as an important milestone in reviewing the branch’s activities, achievements, and progress over the past year. Key highlights included the presentation of annual reports, financial summaries, discussions on strategic goals for 2026, and the appointment of the new Executive Committee. Members actively participated in discussions, shared feedback, and contributed ideas aimed at strengthening technical initiatives, professional development programs, and collaborative activities within the branch.
