The Annual General Meeting 2026 of the IEEE Student Branch, IEEE WIE Student Branch Affinity Group, and IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University was successfully held on 13th February 2026 at the Faculty of Graduate Studies Auditorium, marking a significant leadership transition. During the ceremony, the outgoing Chairperson of the IEEE Student Branch formally addressed the gathering, expressed gratitude to the Executive Committee and Standing Committee Heads, and officially signed off, handing over responsibilities to the incoming board. Then respectively the activity report and budget report for the term 2025/26 were presented by IEEE Student Branch Secretary, and Treasurer. The Counsellor then announced the newly elected Office Bearers and Standing Committee Heads for the 2026/27 term, followed by the badge ceremony to officially recognize the new leadership. The Chief Guest, Prof. Tharaka Samarasinghe, Chair of IEEE Sri Lanka Section, delivered the keynote address, inspiring members to uphold the values of IEEE and continue striving for excellence. The IEEE WIE Student Branch Affinity Group of KDU presented its annual report, formally signed off its outgoing leadership, and reflected on the achievements of the past year. The session ended with the election and badging of the newly appointed office bearers. The IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of KDU presented its annual report and officially signed off its outgoing leadership in recognition of their service. The chapter then proceeded with the election and badging ceremony for the newly elected office bearers. As certificates were awarded to past committees, IEEE KDU officially transitioned into a new term, committed to growth, innovation, and impactful service. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the newly appointed Secretary of the IEEE Student Branch of KDU, marking the beginning of a new term of service.
