The February Meetup – Level Up on the Cloud: Building Your AWS Career was successfully conducted as an online session on 16th February 2026 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, focusing on guiding students and early-career professionals on building a strong career path in cloud computing using Amazon Web Services (AWS). The session was led by Manoj Fernando, Solutions Architect at SLS Guru and an AWS Community Hero, who shared valuable insights on AWS career pathways, essential cloud skills, certification guidance, and real-world industry perspectives. The meetup also provided participants with an opportunity to understand current cloud trends and how to position themselves effectively in the cloud ecosystem. The event was organized by AWS Cloud Clubs – University of Jaffna, in collaboration with the IEEE Computer Society, University of Jaffna Student Branch Chapter, and witnessed active participation from around 50 attendees, making it a highly informative and interactive session.
