The IEEE Student Branch of NIBM successfully conducted "From Profile to Presence," a Personal Branding and Profile Development Workshop on 24th February at NIBM, Colombo, from 1.00 PM to 3.00 PM. The workshop was held in partnership with MAS Capital, who served as the Official Knowledge Partner for the event. The session was led by Mr. Malindhu Samarawickrama, Senior Executive (Human Resources at MAS Capital), who brought valuable industry insights and practical, real-world guidance to the attendees. The workshop covered key areas including presenting oneself confidently in interviews, building and maintaining a strong LinkedIn presence, mastering interview skills and professional etiquette, and developing a compelling personal brand and profile. The workshop provided students with a clearer understanding of how to strategically position themselves in today's competitive professional landscape, bridging the gap between having a strong profile and making a lasting presence. The event concluded with attendees leaving more equipped and confident to stand out, speak with clarity, and get noticed in their professional journeys.
