IEEE Day 2025 will be proudly celebrated by the IEEE Student Branch of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group and the IEEE Computer Society (CS) Student Branch Chapter. The celebration aligns with the global IEEE Day theme, “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow.” The event aims to raise awareness about IEEE, encourage innovation, and highlight how technology can positively impact communities. It will bring together students, academics, and professionals to share knowledge, build connections, and strengthen the IEEE spirit within the university community. The program will include several engaging activities such as the opening ceremony with traditional oil lamp lighting, a keynote speech focused on technology and innovation, an IEEE introduction video screening, a quiz competition, and souvenir distribution. The celebration will also feature a cake-cutting ceremony and musical performances, creating a lively and memorable atmosphere.
