The Award Ceremony of Codemania v6.0 was held on the 1st of March 2026 at the Sri Lanka Technology Campus premises, marking the official conclusion of the competition. The ceremony began with the arrival of distinguished guests and the lighting of the traditional oil lamp, symbolizing knowledge, success, and new beginnings. Several invited guests, organizers, and a representative participant joined the lamp lighting to ceremonially inaugurate the closing proceedings. To add cultural vibrancy to the ceremony, the Performing Arts Club of SLTC presented a welcome dance performance, which brought colour and tradition to the occasion and created an engaging atmosphere for the audience. The Welcome Address was then delivered by Mr. Ravishka Rathnayake, Project Co-Chairperson of Codemania v6.0. In his speech, he reflected on the journey of the project, highlighting the transition of Codemania into an inter-university datathon and appreciating the dedication of participants, organizers, and supporters who contributed to the success of the event. The awarding segment of the ceremony then commenced. Certificates were first presented to teams ranked from 4th to 14th place, recognizing their outstanding effort, teamwork, and performance throughout the competition. The ceremony also featured a Special Address by Eng. Chameera De Silva, Acting Head of the Department of Data Science at Sri Lanka Technology Campus. During his speech, he emphasized the importance of analytical thinking, teamwork, and practical problem-solving in the modern technology industry. His message encouraged participants to continue exploring data science and emerging technologies while developing innovative solutions to real-world challenges. The audience then witnessed the most anticipated moment of the ceremony as the Top Three Teams of Codemania v6.0 were announced. These teams received certificates, vouchers, and cash prizes in recognition of their exceptional problem-solving abilities, collaboration, and innovative thinking during the final datathon. In addition to celebrating the achievements of participants, the ceremony also recognized the dedication of the Organizing Committee members. Certificates were distributed to the teams responsible for industry outreach, publicity, content and caption, web and technical operations, logistics, delegate handling, finance, and secretarial coordination, acknowledging their hard work in organizing and executing the event successfully. Finally, the ceremony concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Nipuni Senarathna, Secretary of Codemania v6.0, who expressed sincere appreciation to the distinguished guests, academic advisors, sponsors, organizing committee members, and participants for their invaluable contributions and support in making Codemania v6.0 a remarkable success. With this, the closing ceremony officially marked the end of Codemania v6.0, celebrating not only the achievements of the winners but also the spirit of innovation, collaboration, and learning among all participants.
