The IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Executive Committee Meeting was successfully conducted by the Main Executive Committee of the IEEE Student Branch at the University of Ruhuna . The meeting focused on presenting the annual roadmap of the PES Student Branch Chapter for the 2025/2026 term , along with identifying key technical and outreach activities planned for the year. During the session, the newly appointed volunteers and executive members were formally introduced. The discussion emphasized the specific roles and responsibilities of each executive member , ensuring a clear understanding of their duties in supporting the chapter’s mission of promoting power and energy knowledge, innovation, and professional development among students. The meeting also provided an opportunity for executive committee members to strengthen networking, improve collaboration, and develop leadership skills essential for their journey within IEEE. According to the PES Year Plan 2025/2026 , the chapter aims to organize several major initiatives including a Technical Webinar, Field Visit, Voltcast 2.0, Software Certificate Course, and a Domestic Installations Workshop to enhance technical knowledge and practical experience for electrical engineering undergraduates.
