Year Planning & Timeline The Executive Committee discussed year-long planning for upcoming events and projects. Key time periods for events were proposed to ensure smooth execution and avoid overlaps. The plan incorporates ongoing projects and new initiatives to optimize participation and impact. 2. Algo Ace Hackathon The committee agreed that Algo Ace will continue as a hackathon-only event without accompanying workshop sessions. The structure will include three preparatory sessions followed by the main competition. Sessions will focus on problem-solving techniques to prepare participants for the hackathon. 3. Career Fair Initiative The possibility of organizing a Career Fair in collaboration with all IT societies within the university was discussed. Responsibilities, timelines, and collaboration strategies were outlined to maximize student participation and industry engagement. 4. Beauty of Cloud 2.0 Project The committee reviewed potential industry partners. Google Cloud Platform (GCP) was confirmed as the primary partner for the project. Co-Chairs for the project will be finalized to ensure smooth execution and coordination. 5. Mini Hackathon Series A Mini Hackathon Series exclusively for University of Sri Jayewardenepura students was discussed. The event will continue in collaboration with IT societies to encourage broader participation and strengthen inter-society engagement. 6. CS Chapter Website Proposal The Chair suggested developing a dedicated webpage for the IEEE CS Student Chapter. The Secretary will follow up with the Student Branch regarding feasibility and approval before development begins. Action Items Finalize the year-long planning timeline and share with all ExCom members. Confirm the three sessions and competition structure for Algo Ace Hackathon. Plan the Career Fair collaboration with university IT societies. Finalize Co-Chairs for Beauty of Cloud 2.0. Develop the Mini Hackathon Series schedule and structure.
