The Industry Applications Society (IAS) Chapter of the IEEE Student Branch of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka successfully conducted its Annual General Meeting 2026 on March 25, 2026, via Zoom as a virtual event. The meeting brought together chapter members, the Chapter Advisor and student branch representatives to reflect on the achievements of the past term and outline plans for the upcoming year. The AGM commenced with the call to order, followed by the welcome address delivered by the Project Chair, Miss Imashi Rajapaksha. The session continued with an inspiring address by the Chapter Advisor, Mr. Akalanka Hettige, who extended his congratulations to the members and provided valuable guidance for the new term. A key highlight of the AGM was the appointment of the new Executive Committee and team leads for the 2025/2026 term. The newly appointed office bearers and team leaders were officially recognized, marking the beginning of a new phase of leadership within the IAS Chapter. The event also featured an address by the Chairperson of the IEEE Student Branch for the 2025/2026 term, Mr. Sachitha Athukorala, who shared encouraging words, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, dedication and effective leadership to achieve greater success. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the newly appointed Vice Chair, expressing appreciation to all participants for their presence and contributions. The AGM marked a successful transition of leadership and set a strong foundation for the continued growth and success of the IEEE IAS Chapter in the year ahead.
