Project Direction for Algo Ace The Chair explained the vision for Algo Ace 2026, highlighting that the project will take a new direction compared to the previous year. Key goals and adjustments: Algo Ace will remain Japura-exclusive. The aim is to guide students towards competitive programming involvement and consistency. The event will follow a 4-session model followed by a Mini Hackathon Series. The structure was designed to build skills progressively before the competition phase. 2. Recruitment of the Quiz Team It was decided that a dedicated Quiz Team needs to be recruited to prepare practice problems and support the session content. The team will also assist during the mini hackathon series. 3. Theme & Branding A new theme for Algo Ace 2.0 will be introduced. The committee agreed to continue last year’s color theme, but explore a different shade for a refreshed look. Branding concepts will be finalized after initial design drafts. 4. Project Proposal & Partnerships Discussion was held on strengthening industry engagement for Algo Ace. The committee suggested pitching knowledge partnerships to a suitable tech company for the four sessions. It was also proposed to explore monetary support through the annual partnership framework of the chapter. The proposal will include details on sessions, competition structure, and expected outcomes. 5. Organizing Committee & Structure The committee discussed tentative calling dates for forming the Organizing Committee. The project-specific committee structure was reviewed to ensure smooth coordination across session planning, content creation, logistics, and competition management. 6. Session Topics Discussion Members proposed potential areas for the four sessions, focusing on competitive programming foundations. Final topics will be chosen after evaluating speaker availability. Action Items Finalize the event flow (4 sessions + Mini Hackathon Series). Recruit the Quiz Team. Confirm the theme and color variation for this year’s branding. Prepare the project proposal and initiate knowledge partnership outreach. Explore opportunities for annual partnership funding. Finalize OC calling dates and project committee structure.
