Project objectives · Introduce students to basic coding in a simple and fun way · Help students develop logical thinking and creativity · Encourage interest in technology and computing · Give hands-on experience using Microbit · Inspire students, especially girls, to explore IT-related fields How does this project objectives align with IEEE CSSL objectives? · Promotes basic computing knowledge among school students · Encourages interest in technology at an early age · Supports Women in Computing activities · Helps build future IT talent in Sri Lanka · Strengthens community engagement through education Short Description about the program (Include the resource persons if possible) This is a beginner-friendly workshop where students will learn simple coding using Microbit. Students will: Learn basic coding concepts (easy and interactive) Create small programs using Microbit Participate in fun hands-on activities Resource Persons: University Lecturer Target Audience · School students (Grades 8–11) · Open to all students (with focus on encouraging girls) Tentative date or durations · Date: 7th April 2026 · Duration: 1 hour Event Pictures
