“Beyond the Spectrum” was an open day organized by the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) Student Branch Chapter at the University of Moratuwa. The event aimed to introduce undergraduate students, especially first-year students, to the field of RF and microwave engineering and its real-world applications. The session covered key areas such as RF and Microwave Engineering, Electromagnetic Modeling and Simulation, Satellite Communications, and Radar Systems. Participants were given insights into how these technologies are applied in modern engineering domains and the potential career and research opportunities available. The event also provided a platform for students to interact with seniors and active members of the MTT-S community, helping them gain a clearer understanding of the field and encouraging them to engage in related technical activities and projects.
