Overview As part of the Membership Development Program held on March 30, 2026, a dedicated session was conducted for the incoming undergraduates of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The initiative focused on highlighting how IEEE membership can facilitate academic growth and professional networking for future engineers. Key Activities • Global Network Introduction: Participants were introduced to IEEE’s organizational structure and its extensive global presence, helping them understand how to navigate the network from a student branch level. • Technical Insights: The program featured introductions to several IEEE technical chapters and affinity groups functioning under the student branch, offering students insight into various engineering fields and opportunities. • Engagement & Quizzes: An interactive quiz session was held to keep the energy high and ensure students remained engaged with the topics discussed. • Awards: Winners of the interactive session were awarded prizes, providing a rewarding conclusion to the introductory program.
