The 1st Executive Committee Meeting of the IEEE Computer Society Sri Lanka Chapter for the year 2026 was successfully held on 06th April 2026 from 9.00 p.m. onwards via Zoom as an online meeting. The meeting brought together Executive Committee members to discuss strategic planning, committee coordination, and chapter activities for the year 2026. During the meeting, several important matters related to the operational and strategic direction of the Chapter were discussed. The agenda included: 1. Appointment of the Coordinator for Young Professional (YP) Activities 2. Formalization of Chapter Subcommittees, including: * Student Chapters and Student Activities * Educational Activities * Industry Relations * Professional Activities * Membership Development * Editorial Committee * Young Professionals * Women in Computing * IEEE Sri Lanka Cyber Security Group 3. Planning of activities and initiatives for the year 2026 4. Financial updates and budget planning 5. Any other matters The meeting provided a platform for collaborative discussion and planning among ExCo members, ensuring effective coordination of activities and strengthening the Chapter’s engagement with students, professionals, academia, and industry throughout the year.
