MazeMaster 2026 -Autonomous Maze-Solving Competition

January 10, 2026 · 2:30 AM - 11:30 AM @ Badulla, uva wellassa university

Description

MazeMaster 2026 is an exciting autonomous maze-solving competition organized to encourage innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills among undergraduate students from universities across Sri Lanka. The event is scheduled to be held on 10th January 2026 from 9:00 a.m. onwards and focuses on designing and developing autonomous robots capable of independently navigating through a complex maze environment. The competition consists of several stages designed to enhance both theoretical understanding and practical implementation skills. The program will begin with an Online Introductory Session, where participants will be briefed on the competition rules, evaluation criteria, and technical requirements. Following this, an Online Workshop conducted by an expert panel will provide guidance on robot design strategies, sensor integration, programming approaches, and maze-solving techniques. The final phase of the competition is the Maze-Solving Challenge, during which participating teams will test their autonomous robots in a predefined maze containing turns, dead ends, and obstacles. Teams will be evaluated based on the robot’s efficiency, accuracy, speed, and overall performance. The event aims to provide students with hands-on experience in robotics, embedded systems, and algorithm development while promoting teamwork, innovation, and technical excellence.
