Description

The Executive Committee meeting of the IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Student Branch Chapter was conducted to discuss the chapter’s upcoming initiatives and strengthen the organizational structure for the new term. The primary focus of the meeting was the planning and initiation of the organizing process for Voltcast 2.0, one of the flagship events of the chapter. During the meeting, ExCom members discussed the importance of building a highly capable and experienced organizing team to ensure the successful execution of the event. Special attention was given to the Organizing Committee Selection process, including identifying suitable members for different responsibilities based on their skills, experience, commitment, and teamwork capabilities. Members collaboratively shared ideas, reviewed expectations for the event, and made key decisions regarding committee structure, coordination methods, communication strategies, and future planning activities. The discussion also emphasized leadership development, effective delegation of responsibilities, and maintaining professionalism throughout the event management process. Through this meeting, the chapter aimed to establish a strong foundation for Voltcast 2.0 by creating a well-organized and motivated team capable of delivering a high-quality and impactful event experience. The meeting also strengthened collaboration among ExCom members and ensured clear direction for the chapter’s upcoming activities and initiatives.
