May 23, 2026 at 2:30 PM - May 25, 2026 at 3:30 PM @ Online event
Description
The IEEE Student Branch of NIBM successfully conducted "Building Intelligent Workflows: An Introduction to Agentic AI with n8n," a three-day online bootcamp series held via Google Meet from 23rd May to 25th May 2026 . The bootcamp was organized with the objective of introducing participants to the rapidly evolving field of Agentic AI while providing hands-on experience in designing intelligent AI-powered workflows using the open-source automation platform, n8n. The sessions were conducted by Mr. Randika Sattarasinghe , an AI Systems Engineer and Consultant currently pursuing an MSc in Robotics & Autonomous Systems at the University of Klagenfurt, Austria. Throughout the three-day series, participants were guided through the foundations of Agentic AI, practical workflow automation, and advanced AI agent concepts that are shaping the future of intelligent systems and business automation. The first day focused on introducing participants to the fundamentals of Agentic AI, explaining how AI agents operate and how intelligent workflows are transforming modern industries. On the second day, participants gained practical hands-on experience with n8n by building their first AI-powered workflows and learning automation techniques through guided demonstrations. The final session explored advanced agentic patterns, multi-agent workflows, and emerging trends in AI-driven automation, enabling participants to understand the future potential of intelligent workflow systems. To encourage participants to apply the knowledge gained throughout the bootcamp, a practical challenge was conducted at the conclusion of the series. Participants were invited to showcase their understanding by developing innovative AI-powered workflows using the concepts covered during the sessions. Following the evaluation process, the top three submissions were recognized for their creativity, technical implementation, and effective use of Agentic AI concepts. 🏆 1st Place: Muneeb Asmone 🥈 2nd Place: Nabila Fahim 🥉 3rd Place: Asma Iqbal The competition served as an excellent opportunity for participants to demonstrate their newly acquired skills while fostering creativity, innovation, and practical problem-solving. Overall, the bootcamp successfully combined theoretical learning with hands-on implementation, equipping participants with valuable knowledge of AI workflow automation and inspiring them to further explore emerging technologies within the field of Artificial Intelligence. Key Outcomes Participants gained a solid understanding of Agentic AI concepts. Students learned to design intelligent workflows using n8n. Participants built and tested AI-powered automation workflows. Students explored emerging trends in AI agents and workflow orchestration. The practical challenge promoted innovation, creativity, and problem-solving.
