The second day of organizing committee interviews for Career Gateway 1.0 , the inaugural job fair organized by the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura , was conducted on 28th May from 3.00 PM to 10.00 PM . Following the first day of interviews, the second session continued the process of evaluating applicants who wished to be part of the organizing committee for the event. The interviews were conducted through two separate panels , consisting of IEEE Student Branch Executive Committee members , together with the Event Chair, Secretary, and Co-Chairs . This allowed the interview process to be carried out efficiently while maintaining a proper evaluation standard for all applicants. Throughout the session, candidates were assessed based on their commitment, communication ability, teamwork, problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, and willingness to take responsibility within the organizing committee. The panels also discussed the applicants’ preferred areas of contribution, their past experience in volunteering or event organizing, and their ability to work collaboratively under deadlines. The second day of interviews helped complete the selection process for the organizing committee and provided valuable insight into the strengths and potential contributions of the applicants. This session was a key step in forming a dedicated organizing team capable of supporting the planning, coordination, and successful execution of Career Gateway 1.0.
