The IEEE Power & Energy Society Student Branch Chapter of the University of Ruhuna, in collaboration with the Power Circle of EIES, is pleased to conduct the DIALux evo Professional Lighting Design Workshop under VoltCast 2.0. Registration for the course was opened on 16 June 2026 as an open invitation for undergraduate students from all universities. This workshop provides participants with valuable hands-on experience in lighting design and simulation using DIALux evo , an industry-leading software widely used for professional lighting planning, analysis, and visualization in residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Learn to design, calculate, and visualize professional interior, exterior, and street lighting installations. Learn to construct 3D environments, select appropriate luminaires, and generate energy efficiency compliance reports. DIALux evo interface orientation, CAD files import, and 3D architectural modeling Luminaire selection and photometrical data integration (.IES / .LDT files) Lux calculations for emergency lighting, commercial offices, and industrial plants Exterior & street lighting design following international standard compliance Photorealistic 3D visualization, ray-tracing renderings, and calculation reports Registration for the program was conducted through the official VoltCast 2.0 website, www.voltcast.lk . Participants were required to access the website, create an account or log in to their existing account, and complete the online registration process. The workshop brought together 100+ undergraduate students from universities across Sri Lanka, providing them with valuable hands-on experience in lighting design and simulation using DIALux evo , an industry-leading software widely used for professional lighting planning, analysis, and visualization in residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Through expert guidance and practical demonstrations, participants enhanced their understanding of modern lighting design principles and industry best practices, making the session a valuable learning experience for aspiring engineers. The overwhelming participation and enthusiasm contributed to the success of the workshop
