A meeting was held to discuss the arrangements for the first field visit organized concurrently with Career Gateway 1.0 , the inaugural job fair organized by the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura . The discussion focused on the planned field visit to DIMO — Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC , which is scheduled to be held on 10th June at Weliweriya . The visit is organized by IEEE Women in Engineering Student Branch Affinity Group of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura , under the Career Gateway 1.0 initiative, with a focus on the areas of Agri-Machinery, Power, and Energy . During the meeting, the participants discussed the overall visit plan, event schedule, participant coordination, transportation arrangements, communication process, responsibilities of the organizing team, and other logistical requirements needed to ensure the smooth execution of the field visit. The meeting also highlighted the importance of providing students with practical exposure to industry operations, engineering applications, and career-related opportunities through this visit. This meeting served as an important step in preparing for the successful implementation of the first field visit of Career Gateway 1.0, while strengthening coordination among the organizing members and ensuring that all necessary arrangements are planned effectively.
